When the table came, its clearly manufactured wood, which I was expecting. I thought it was ok. But then, a few months later the veneer is peeling off! We barely touch the table! Such a disappointment.

I ordered the Dawnwood coffee table and 2 end tables in Wheat. They are very solid and nice looking tables but the top wood is a slightly darker color than the rest of the table. It's a 2-tone look which I don't mind but it wasn't marketed that way. The main body is a Wheat color but the table top is closer to a light walnut finish. The instructions on attaching the legs were also incorrect but it was easily figured out. I'm very happy with the quality and overall look of the tables.

I bought the coffee table and 2 side tables and they were delivered 2 days ago. There is a strong chemical smell which is nearly overpowering if I don't keep the doors and windows open (can't do that at night of course). I soon realized why: the table top is dark and grooved. I was using a wood cuticle stick to push something out of the groove, and the stick came out with a dark sludge on it. Whatever antiquing stuff they used in the grooves (which is black), it is nowhere near dry. I wonder if it ever will be. The dark sludge stained my thumb and forefinger when I wiped it off the stick. I looks and smells like black shoe polish. I really hope it dries soon. Shouldn't this have been "cured" before leaving. the factory?

This table is just beautiful. It is very good quality and the height is perfect to place next to my recliner. It doesn’t come assembled, however, it’s easy to put together.
