My first try at Canele (as a result of these mold

My first try at Canele (as a result of these molds) turned out great! Although I did not get the hard exterior I so longed for, the taste made up for it. I would suggest that the company provide more detail on how to bake with these. Will practice some more before investing in the cooper ones. But for now...these are good.

Cheaper and way more manageable alternatives to copper molds . Forget the “ bee wax “ or butter greasing... easy to clean. Result is almost the same: caneles have caramelized exterior and soft interior. copper molds from now on only to fill with left over batter , ( usually enough to fill 2-3 )

Excellent ; I use perforated trays and bake in convection mode - 15 min at 475F , then 45-55 min at 360F . If non convection, may go slightly higher on temperature. Use longer baking times if trying to achieve darker color. No need to grease the molds ; although if you do - nothing bad happens (slightly crispier. ) I think a little bit of yellow butts offer visual charm.
