Was not sure what to expect, but very happy. It does have a lip underneath that holds the tray up...wasn't sure if it would be flat on counter. It is basically a large plate....for the most part flat.... but weighs enough and the colors are good. It will not really pass for marble, but it still looks nice...and easier to take care of.

Excellent quality & style

These plates are such an upgrade from my old melamine. They are thick, sturdy and the style is excellent. Most people don't even know they're not some kind of ceramic at first glance.
