screws don't fit

i ordered this set for my parents who are moving in to a small apartment from a house thinking this would be a good size. I have been a Macy's customer since May Company and trusted Macy's quality but this is way out of my expectations. the woods chipped a few places and the screws do not go in regardless how hard my husband I tried for two days. Some screws would not even go in at all because the holes are not aligned. we spent too much time and it is another nightmare to disassemble to rerurn. the table legs are wigly and this was a total disastrous purchase. Very disappointed.
