Stay warm feature

Disappointed that the warmer cannot be turned off. I usually make 2 cups, which I pour into an insulated mug before I leave the house, so the burner does not need to stay on for two hours. I have to unplug it to turn off that feature. Other than that, this coffee maker works well for me.

Plastic off gassing

I bought this for my Mother’s assisted living apartment so I could have coffee when I visit. It’s been about 9 months and I’ve probably used it 30 times. Each time it has a burnt plastic smell and the coffee has an aroma and taste of the same. I hoped that with time the problem would cease, unfortunately it hasn’t. Even with cleaning multiple times with vinegar. I’ve gone back to using a French press when visiting as the smell and taste of burning plastic is still too strong.
