Box in bad shape

I ordered this iron for a shower gift from Macy's on the wedding knot. They stuck a address label on the iron's box and mailed. By the time I received the gift the box was ripped, bang up and in horrible condition. I do not understand why they didnot put it in another box. They knew it was a gift!

I’m absolutely loving my new Hamilton Beach iron, model 199971 in purple ?

Best Quilting iron

Our last one lasted 15 years before the sole plate began to flake. Best iron I have ever had l have had top of the line quilting irons and this one outshines them by miles. Praying our new iron lasts and works as well as the last one.

Very disappointed USED PRODUCT RECEIVED

I always read reviews and should’ve used better judgement after doing so. Customers in reviews mentioned receiving irons that looked to be used. I received a USED Hamilton Beach Durathon Digital Nonstick Iron! Very disappointing! Buyer beware! I received an iron with scratches on the heating plate, the plastic was scratched and retractable cord had gouges in the cord and wouldn’t correctly retract. Also the iron was wrapped in tissue paper and the instructions were mangled. Afraid to use it after paying full price for a possibly faulty returned product. Returning for refund. I’m not sure how the shipping process works but Macy’s should probably take reviews into consideration as customers are receiving used products. I LOVE Macy’s and will continue shopping with them but I was very disappointed with receiving a used product. Makes me wonder about other products I’ve purchased.

Leaks

This is a nice heavy iron but still leaks when you move it across your fabric.

Great Design

The design of this iron works well with how your hand holds the iron. I bought and returned (not from Macy's) a much higher priced iron whose steam and spray buttons were right where you hold the iron and it kept spraying/steaming when I didn't want it to. The Hamilton Beach also offers vertical steam which I use all the time and find very useful. The burst of steam is powerful. I'm very pleased with this iron.
