These sandals are more like slides, slides that feel like flip flops. They have absolutely no cushion, from the toes to the heel. It literally feels like the same material found in shower shoes. The best thing about these sandals is how they look. I don't know that I'd recommend them for anything other than fashionable beach wear (to protect your feet from the hot sand).
