I won’t be taking these off

I’ve been skeptical of out of ear earbuds. Most of them will have to make compromises on bass and are never as good for things like podcasts or audio books. These buds are changing my mind. I can hear everything around me and even have a conversation all while having a quality music experience. Lite is definitely a good word to describe them as you can barely feel them on your ears. Though the earbuds feel like they’ll hold up to rough treatment, the case does not feel as durable. I’ve taken them climbing and snowboarding with no worries, and they are my new yoga partner. The case doesn’t have my trust.

Lite and safe with great sound

Loving these JBL sense lite headphones! They truly are “lite” to wear and quite comfortable. Great for times when you want to listen to tunes while still hearing what’s going on around you and most importantly keep safe. I can go on a run and feel at ease as I can hear on coming traffic or other patrons. They stay on very well.

They will feel a bit strange if you have not used

Well if you have never have worn over the ear Bluetooth headphones your in for a nice surprise. The design is simple yet effective. Light weight and the sound is amazing. Much better than expected. Fit takes some getting used to but when you find the right angle to put it in on. It fits great and won’t hurt your ears. Sometimes with in the ear headphones you get an itch but you avoid that all together with these on. They work great for taking phone calls as well. They hold a charge pretty long and last longer than u had expected them to off the charger. What makes over the ear headphones nice is that you are still able to hear things going on around you but still sounds loud enough to where it won’t district you either.

Great battery life but could use some improvements

I’m a big JBL fan and am usually usually impressed by their products. Unfortunately these fell short of expectations. After a couple hours there was a tender spot on one of my ears. The fit seemed a little off. It gets a little harder to hear in noisier settings compared to in ear headphones. It did give me some errors What did impress me was how light they felt and the battery life.

Innovative design and great sound, but not for eve

**Sound**: JBL’s OpenSound technology is both innovative and unique. Despite the open-ear design, there is no noticeable loss in audio quality, particularly in the lows and highs. As a frequent listener, I can clearly recognize JBL’s signature sound profile in these earbuds. The bass is strong, punchy, and bouncy, while the mids and highs remain very clear. I also did not experience any noticeable distortion, even at the highest volume levels. I frequently use the 16k equalizer, and even the minimal adjustments I made in the JBL Headphones app were noticeable. However, the maximum volume level can sometimes feel slightly limited, even with the Max Volume Limiter setting turned off. On several occasions, I found myself going back to my phone to increase the volume, only to realize it was already at maximum. **Open Ear Design**: If you have used JBL earbuds before, you are likely familiar with the iconic Ambient Aware feature. It allows you to clearly hear your surroundings and is especially useful outdoors. With this design, however, it feels like that feature is always on and cannot be turned off. Personally, this is a significant drawback. I prefer having the flexibility to choose my listening settings, especially since both Ambient Aware and Noise Canceling features work extremely well on several other JBL earbuds that I own. Sometimes you simply need silence, sound reduction, and the ability to fully focus on your music, podcast, calls, or voice messages. These earbuds are intentionally designed to leave the ear canal open so users can remain aware of their surroundings while still keeping audio relatively private. While the technology is impressive and the features are more advanced than many of my other JBL earbuds, this design is simply not ideal for my personal listening preferences. That said, for this category of open-ear earbuds, they are likely among the best-in-class options available. **Comfort**: These are the lightest JBL earbuds I own. They feel incredibly light on the ear, lighter even than some of the smallest in-ear models. Overall, they are comfortable for long listening sessions. However, because I wear glasses and occasionally wear a hoodie during workouts, I found that these items can interfere with the earbuds. Glasses tend to press against them, and a hoodie can rub against them, which sometimes moves them out of place or creates external friction noises. You may also hear light scratching sounds when glasses shift and come into contact with the earbuds. Since they do not sit inside the ear canal, even a small shift in angle can feel noticeable and may require repositioning. If you plan to wear them on their own and avoid intense workouts, I would definitely recommend them. Otherwise, it may be better to consider JBL in-ear or even over-ear headphones. **Microphone**: I have received multiple compliments from callers regarding the microphone quality. The audio sounds crisp and clear, as the packaging suggests. Unlike some other JBL earbuds, these do not include the VoiceAware feature. However, due to the open-ear design, I do not find that feature necessary. **Charging Case & Battery Life**: Because of the ear hooks, the charging case is quite thick and large, making it somewhat difficult to fit into smaller pockets. However, it is very lightweight, just like the earbuds themselves, and has a sleek finish. In terms of battery life, the earbuds never ran out of power during my use, and they recharge relatively quickly. When paired with the JBL Headphones app, you get a clear view of the battery percentage for both the earbuds and the case. You can also adjust the auto power-off setting to help conserve battery when the earbuds are not in use. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the battery performance of this model. One small note: a USB Type-C charging cable is not included in the box. **Final Verdict**: I genuinely enjoy the sound quality and OpenSound technology. It is a thoughtful design that promotes ear health, and the lightweight build makes the earbuds very easy to wear. However, constantly hearing surrounding noise can make them feel somewhat limited in certain situations. At this price point, I could purchase another pair of JBL earbuds that offer the flexibility of this design along with active noise cancellation. I find myself reaching for this pair when going for a walk, grocery shopping, or sightseeing. For longer days, commuting, or traveling, I would still prefer my regular in-ear JBL earbuds for better noise reduction.

The sound is great and perfect for when you want a moment to yourself. Its compatible and easy to carry anywhere. It charges fast and the battery lasts for a good amount of time. Very reliable headphones at any time and place. The way the headphones are assembled makes it easy to put on your ear and easy to take off, built very well for those who want a more secure feeling on their ear. They make the assembly simple by providing easy to put together instructions.

Two things jump to mind is the comfort and the sou

Nice alternative from in canal earbuds. Lightweight and amazingly comfortable. SOUND: Don't expect great bass, but a balanced sound for extended listening. Rounded sound, not sharp. Call the sound entertaining. Finding I use these more often than other earbuds. From Gregorian Chants to Big Band to classical to Rock & Roll, did well, no surprises. Note: not all type C cables will fit and charge properly.

Too big for my ears!

I did a lot of research before buying these open ear headphones. What I wasn't prepared for or didn't realise at the time of purchase was that my small ears would have problems with these headphones. While I can put the outer hook around my ear without problems, when it comes to positioning the speaker in my ear as the specifications/instructions suggest, the speaker won't sit in my ear. It's too big. If I do 'insert' the speaker in the shell of my ear, it forces the outer hook from its position. The other difficulty is accommodating both my glasses, which I wear all the time, and the headphone hook over my ear. On reflection, I realise, after further research that I perhaps should have bought a clip on variety. I now know from extra research that these are better for people with small ears.
