Perfect for my space

The chair is very pretty and feels firm and sturdy however I find it a bit difficult to push back. I am 5'6", but once my feet leave the floor while pushing back, the fabric on the arms is slippery, and provides no traction, so I no longer have the leverage to push back. I have to slide forward, put my feet on the floor on each side of the foot rest and continue to push to the position I want. Perhaps the mechanism loosens with use?
