Love it and hate it?

I'm iffy about this primer. I like it, I generally prefer matte makeup and dislike anything that looks oily or too dewy. The main downside is that I really only use it for going-out looks, when I intentionally wear heavier makeup and need it to last all night. When I use this during the day for a lighter look, it somehow makes my base appear too heavy and cakey (tested this theory with and without the primer, and turns out I was right), which I'm guessing comes from its mattifying and blurring properties? I'd appreciate it even more if it were versatile enough to work for both day and night looks.

Fluorescent yellow 12 hour mattifine primer

Just opened a new tube and it's flourescent yellow. Can't get a straight answer or any response from Mac on whether or not they changed their product from white to fluorescent yellow...very disappointing and bad customer service. I will start looking for another brand.

Really Does Hide Pores

I rarely wear makeup, but I do like a smooth complexion. I had used a competitor's primer for years, but noticed that although my skin was smooth, I could still see the pores, esp. on my nose. When I tried this primer, I was pretty surprised to find that my pores literally disappeared. In addition, the MAC makeup I would use as a concealer on any red veins or (ahem) age spots (around the nose, middle of cheeks, etc) went on smoother. I call this a win-win!
