Sizing inconsistency

Nice pair of driver shoes with soft leather. Sizes larger than expected. Oddly the right shoe was slightly wider and longer than left shoe although both labeled 8.5. Not sure why but had to return them bc even the left smaller shoe still was 1/2 size bigger than expected.
