Pandora infinity sterling silver earrings.

They caused allergic reaction to my earlobes inflammation and redness…. When I took the earrings off i noticed black film on the earrings I cleaned and disinfected but it did not work I wonder if this item which was a gift from my husband for Valentine’s Day can be returned?
