An obvious upgrade

I was using the wired aerox 5 prior to buying this one as i needed to get rid of the wire and its safe to say that life without a wired mouse is a different kind of freedom. Still ultra light weight glides unbelievably smooth and the battery life is absolutely nothing to complain about.

One of the better hybrids if you want comfort

After using the SteelSeries Aerox 5 for gaming and daily PC use, I’d say it’s a very strong all-around wireless gaming mouse, especially if you play MOBAs/MMOs or like having extra buttons without using a giant brick of a mouse. Super comfortable shape The mouse has a very ergonomic right-handed design and many reviewers note it works especially well for palm/claw grips and medium-to-larger hands. It’s often described as comfortable over long sessions. Extra buttons are genuinely useful It has 9 buttons total, including several thumb buttons and a flick/rocker switch. Great if you play: League of Legends MMOs Productivity/macros You get more functionality than a standard FPS mouse without going full MMO-style oversized. Specs/reviews confirm the 9-button layout. Lightweight for a feature-heavy mouse At around 73–74g, it’s relatively light considering the number of buttons and wireless hardware. Wireless feels responsive 2.4GHz + Bluetooth support, and reviewers generally call the sensor/connection fast and reliable. ❌ What I Don’t Like Not truly “ultralight” SteelSeries markets it as lightweight, but compared with modern esports mice it’s not featherweight. Even users point out that for a honeycomb mouse, ~75g isn’t crazy light. Some side buttons can feel awkward A common complaint is that the special rocker/flick side button is weird/hard to use quickly in-game. Mixed durability/software complaints A few community posts mention issues like scroll wheel problems, software frustration, or inconsistent long-term reliability. Not universal, but worth knowing.

It's a very good mouse for gaming, what else can I say. I use it wireless for fps games and never looked back.

Light and effective

I switched from an old secondhand wireless mouse to this new steelseries mouse, it had crazy value and was cheaper than anything secondhand, a rare sight these days, the mouse feels amazing and has greatly improved my aim (in Overwatch it has went from 36% to nearly 50%!)

Best ever

I had rival 700 and 710 The had the double click issue after many years of use and a teenagers violent use. I bought this mouse and it's even better somehow, despite being wireless. I can effortless use it for own pc (with receiver) and work pc (Bluetooth) So win-win. All i lack on the new aeros is being able to store profiles on the mouse, as 700 and 710 could. But it's just the cherry on the top, and not nessesary. Only a great feature.

SteelSeries Aerox 5 Wireless

Weight - 5/5 | Comfort - 4/5 | Battery - 5/5 | Features - 4/5 | Overall - 4.5 / 5 [Build & weight] The Aerox 5 Wireless is genuinely light, you notice it immediately. Coming from smaller mice, the sizing takes a short adjustment period, but it doesn't take long before the shape starts to feel natural. The honeycomb shell, which looked like it might feel strange or clinical in hand, turned out to be a pleasant surprise: the holes create a subtle texture that actually feels nice against the palm rather than distracting from it. [RGB & software] The RGB implementation here is more interesting than the usual static glow. Through SteelSeries GG, you can tie lighting behavior to in-game events so the mouse responds visually to what's happening on screen. It's the kind of feature that sounds gimmicky until you're actually using it, at which point it genuinely adds something to the experience. [Battery life] Battery life is one of the Aerox 5 Wireless's strongest points. It lasts long enough that charging becomes an occasional task rather than a routine one, and when you do plug in, it doesn't keep you waiting. The low battery notification via the app is a small but thoughtful touch :) no unpleasant surprises mid-session. [Verdict] A well-rounded wireless gaming mouse that delivers where it matters. The weight, battery, and reactive lighting make it easy to recommend, and the honeycomb design once you get past expectations, turns out to be one of its quiet highlights.

Really good Light mouse

I wanted a light wireless mouse for my gaming sessions. The Aerox 5 Wireless did not disappoint. A good battery life, a 2,4GHz dongle, really easy to use and really light. I recommend
