Beautiful, but tricky to make functional?

Beautiful lamp - I bought two. That's where it ends. I had a difficult time positioning the harp and getting it to stay securely in place. The lamp shade was also very difficult to position, and it still isn't quite centered. The other problem is the base of the harp is two narrow for a standard bulb. I ended up using a tubular bulb designed for a display case. The trouble is I haven't found a 3-way version of these bulbs or one with a high enough wattage. So, the lamps are attractive but a little on the dim side. I would not recommend these lamps for anything other than their looks.
