Poor Understanding of the Color Taupe.

I bought Taupe. I was hesitant since it was hard to tell if this was truly a Taupe pallet from the pictures. Upon receiving it, the Taupe Pallet is indeed, Not Taupe at all. It consists of a warm brick red brown, deep copper, medium warm brown, pinky golden shimmer, and a very warm yellow ivory. I tried the pallet. They are even more orange and warm after application. This pallet seems to lack a basic understanding of what Taupe is, so the clarify, by definition, Taupe is "Grey with a Tinge of Brown". Taupe is cool toned. These are viciously warm, orange based colors. The worst kind of colors for look cool toned people, which are, for the most part, the ones desiring Taupe color pallets. Now if this were advertised as a Warm Copper pallet, it would be named correctly. Incorrect naming aside, the eye shadows unfortunately have stark inconsistencies in formula. Some are light and fluffy and blend well, some hard as concrete and literally will not come off the pallet without a chisel and hammer. The dark colors and metallics in particular did not blend well… and these are the most important ones to blend. I will be giving this pallet away to a warm autumn friend. 2 stars because packaging is nice, cute mirror and good array of colors. Note: I am a long time clean beauty user. I have tried many brands. I was curious about Well People lip oils, so I decided to dive and purchase over $200 in Well People products. I am overall disappointed. The matte white packaging looks instantly dirty and stained. Most of the formulas are meh. The few good formulas had poor designed packaging, some so bad that they are unusable. Out of 8 products 2 were good, and only 1 I would repurchase. They are close to the mark, but most products really need to go back to the drawing board for some updates. I hope they take the feedback sincerely, I do think this brand has potential but needs polishing.
