An Alaskan staple in the commercial fishing industry, the Legacy Boot provides commercial fishermen flexible, all-day comfort and the best protection against the broadest range of acids, corrosives, and contaminants. Each boot is made with XTRATUFs signature triple dipping technique, which creates a seamless barrier that is highly resistant to many and inorganic acids, chemicals and contaminants. The latex neoprene is ozone resistant, and is softer, lighter, and far more pliable than ordinary rubber. This pliability is what has made XTRATUF the leading choice for numerous commercial fisherman as it allows sneaker like agility while providing total waterproof protection and slip-resistance. Cushioned insoles with arch support help fight fatigue and stress on the legs and back..

Boots are hard to beat.

These are the toughest rubber boots I've ever owned. They are comfortable on hikes and easy to put on ad take off. The uninsulated pair gets worn probably 270 days a year. They last me about 7 years. I have an insulated pair not worn as much that's probably 15 years old and still going.

Best rubber boots ever made!

I wore them today scouting for the upcoming turkey season. Walked over 5 miles, wet and dry conditions, no problems.

Change in Manufacturing ? Very Disappointed.

These used to be the greatest boots. I used to buy 50 pairs a year. The price has gone up and the quality has gone down. The glue that holds the beige strip to the boot now separates. And the heel wears significantly faster than used to. I am not sure if they changed the manufacturing process or chemicals in the rubber but definitely not the same boot.

Hard to get boots on.

Not a bad boot but not for me. Big feet and big calves make it hard to put boots on. The upper part of boot is very thin and flimsy. So no standing into them. You must be able to easily bend over and touch your feet to reach to get them on. Much happier with my old boots neoprene upper from cabals. Sorry.

Expected more durability

The boots did their job on an Alaskan fishing boat; however, the outer layer came off of the front toe early on in their wear and use. Thankfully, the inner layer stayed intact.

Industry standard for a reason, great product.

I work in the fishing industry In Alaska, these are industry standard for a reason, they work great and will serve you well. The lining between the foot and the foot is often the first to go however, if they could give it a boost that would be ideal! Great product.

Excellent boot but had sizing issues

I am usually a size 10.5 but best fit was a 9. Size 10 would have worked with bulkier wool socks but I needed these for summer field work. Very happy with the level of comfort, flexibility of the neoprene, initial durability and traction on slippery stream rocks.
