Disappointed After Years of Loyalty
As a long-time ZWILLING Pro series owner, I upgraded to the Spectrum set seeking lighter knives. The design is beautiful — but that’s where the praise ends. Out of the box, most knives had visible scratches and water marks. The chef’s knife arrived with a chipped edge, which is a quality control failure on a premium-priced set. The kitchen shears are also a letdown — they don’t come apart for cleaning, a basic feature I’d expect at this price point. The contrast with my Pro series experience is stark. ZWILLING’s quality control has clearly declined. In hindsight, I should have gone with Miyabi or another brand. Hard to recommend. Pros: Attractive design; lighter weight, thinner Cons: Scratches and water marks out of box; chipped chef’s knife; shears don’t disassemble; quality well below the Pro series

Well Balanced Knife Set
The balance on this knife is amazing! I think it is one of the most well balanced knives I have held. The five knives included in the set are every knife you ever will need, and with extra slots allowing for additional knives, I will add the Santoku because I prefer this blade for chopping vegetables. Stainless steel shears are sharp and easy to wash.
