Luxurious facial cream

he cream felt really rich and thick when I first applied it, but it melted into my skin after warming it up between my fingers. It made my face feel super soft and hydrated by the time I woke up in the morning. I noticed that my skin looked a bit more smooth and less dry after using it for a few days. The texture is definitely heavier than most moisturizers, so I wouldn't use too much at once. As for the scent, it has a light, slightly floral smell that isn't too strong or overwhelming. I actually enjoyed it because it made the experience feel a bit more luxurious.I received this product for free from La Mer for testing and review purposes.

Very Hydrating

I really enjoyed this product though it is quite pricy. It's got a thick consistency that leaves your skin feeling hydrated all day long. Even with my first few times using the product I could see changes in my skin texture and fine lines. I received this product for free from La Mer for testing and review purposes.

Product has changed

Deeply sorry to see that this beautiful and faithful companion of my sensitive skin since 1999 has undergone unforgivable changes and no longer resemble the cult product coveted by millions of faithful customers. It no longer needs to be warmed between fingertips until translucent to release the Miracle Broth since it is so much more fluid. After application it no longer absorbs into a beautiful natural veil lending the skin a beautiful translucent glow. It does not absorb and just sits on the top of the skin like a layer of grease. Not very flattering, nor convenient esp. considering the price-tag. The fragrance is no longer the soft fragrance that I have loved for over 25 years but a more metallic, harsh something that would do better at the morgue than in a luxury skin care product. I am truly saddened that the ELC has managed to ruin this product as well; the one that I truly believed they would never touch. I believe all faithful customers of La Mer and the ELC will look for other products from (French) competitors. But I do hope that this menace of ruining your products will stop very soon and the CDLM will be reinstated to its former glory since there is no other product on the face of the Earth that compares, unless one desires to put the original Nivea Creme on one's face. Which is still a far better option than this disastrous reformulation of your CDLM. (Not to mention 1/200th of the price.)

Rich hydration but strong scent

I used this cream at night after cleansing my face. The texture is quite thick and I found it a little difficult to spread at first, but it melts into the skin with some effort. While I personally found the scent a bit strong, the overall consistency feels rich and nourishing. By the next morning, my skin felt noticeably moisturized and soft. amazing results

At first I was sceptic and a bit nervous because usually thick textured creams clog my pores and cause breakouts. I tried it anyway and was amazed by results! Right away the rich formula felt comfortable on my skin and all the redness was gone. After a few days I've noticed pores were less visible and fine lines less prominent. My skin had no bad reaction and felt more balanced and calm.Incredible results just in a few days! I love natural botanical scent.
